Muawiya hair wisdom
Ibn Qutaybah talking in his book 'auyun alkhabar
(News Eyes / or / News Watch) about Muawiya (Muawiya Ibn Abi Sufyan,
who was the sixth Caliph of the Omawi Empire), Muawiya said:
" If there were only one hair between me and the people, it will never break, if they stretch it, I loosen it, and if they loosen it I stretch it".
It
means that the relation between him and his people depends on their
general moods, so it's not always an oppression, persecution and
suppression relation; but instead a freedom, delighted... etc.
Not
only politicians can learn from this wisdom, but everybody (parents
with their children, husband with his wife, and this one with her
husband, teacher with his students... etc), and all those who wants
their relationship last forever.
